This unprecedented experience gives you a first-hand look into the lives of local Guatemalan women while supporting their dynamic enterprises.

April 6-13, 2019

About the Trip

This 8-day journey through Guatemala highlights the amazing enterprises of local women while creating opportunities for authentic conversation and sisterhood.

Travelers will get an opportunity to take a deep breath and enjoy some natural beauty, eat multiple meals side-by-side with local families, explore the work of a range of female artisans, and even make their own peanut butter!

This is a truly unique experience, custom-built for us by two members of our Wanderful community who believe in connecting our global sisterhood and sharing the unique perspectives of Guatemalan women. From discussing reproductive healthcare, to exploring the Tz’utujil Weaving Cooperative in San Juan, to understanding the preservation of indigenous culture in education, this is a special opportunity to build a deeper understanding of Guatemala’s strengths, challenges, and future opportunities up close, right through the eyes of local women themselves.

We will be partnering with a number of non-profit organizations including Starfish Impact, WINGS, Casa Flor Designs, De la Gente, and the San Juan Weaving Cooperative.
