Last year our speakers came from as far as China and as close as down the street. In 2015, we’re raising the bar and bringing in an even wider variety of topics that can satisfy both beginning travel bloggers and more advanced entrepreneurs.
WITS functions on three tracks: The Traveler, The Blogger and The Entrepreneur. These tracks occur simultaneously and anyone can attend any track (or a mixture of all three).
The Traveler: For the woman of the world and the woman looking to get to know the world. This track features travel logistics, tips for immersing yourself in new places, and ideas on how to give back when traveling.
The Blogger: For the woman who wants to share her stories and the woman looking to write full-time. This track features writing workshops, familiarization with blogging platforms, and ideas on how to run multi-blogger groups.
The Entrepreneur: For the empire-builder and income-generator. This track features monetization strategies, management tips, and workshops on turning your hobby into a career.
Who Are We Looking For?
This year, we’re looking for out-of-the-box ideas to make our summit really shine. You DO NOT need to be a member of the travel industry to participate — we are equally interested in computer programmers, marketing directors, women’s rights speakers, and more.
Most importantly, our speakers must be able to transfer a bit of wisdom, an insider tip, or a bold message to our attendees; so, when crafting your proposal, remember to ask yourself, “What do I want people to take away from this presentation?” Be innovative, interesting, and informative so that you grab our attention — and leave us wanting to learn more. At WITS, our goal is to bring together a diverse array of female travelers with a shared passion for sharing stories and learning, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

What You Need to Know
Our speakers give a one-hour presentation to about 100 powerful female travelers (for a total of 300 attendees). You will be allowed to bring materials or samples to your presentation to share with attendees, but make sure that you’re providing valuable and helpful information without too much heavy self-promotion.
We recommend that speakers arrive on Thursday, March 26, 2015 in order to take advantage of exclusive speaker events. Speakers must attend an all-hands meeting on Friday afternoon to run through the weekend and answer any questions.
Our speakers at WITS ’15 receive:
- One free ticket to WITS ’15
- Access to VIP events and networking
- A feature on witsummit.com sharing information about you and your presentation or workshop
- Badges to display on your site about your role as a WITS speaker
- A speaker liaison on the WITS team who can help answer your questions as you prepare for WITS
- An amazing opportunity to share your wisdom and make lasting connections with some of the world’s best travel bloggers
Our first WITS was a hit. In 2014, we had 183 attendees from 25 US states and 8 countries. These attendees ranged from women launching a travel blog, women with 50,000 subscribers and a powerful brand, and women who just loved to travel. Our average attendee had 1,400 Twitter followers. We’re looking for topics that can appeal to one segment of our conference attendees, or everyone. The topics should be inspiring, empowering, and focused on building our community of women helping women.
How to Apply
To apply, fill out the application below. Applications close on October 1, 2014. Speakers will be selected before November 1, 2014 in order to provide enough time to plan your travel.
